Fans of popular Kollywood actor Trisha have been keen to watch her performance in the upcoming political thriller Paramapadham Vilayattu. After appearing in Gautam Vasudev Menon’s short film Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn last year, Trisha is all set to play the lead in Paramapadham Vilayattu.

The movie will be released on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar on April 14, marking the occasion of Tamil New Year. A sneak peek video of the political thriller was released by the makers on Saturday.

The video has Trisha playing the role of Gayathri, a doctor who is assigned the responsibility of treating Chezian, the leader of a political party. She is seen printing out a medical report detailing the politician's health condition. Shortly after she submits the report to her superior, she is instructed to replace the original report with an incorrect one that states that Chezian is recovering, despite the fact that the political leader is in a critical condition. When she is forced to produce the incorrect report to the media, she refrains from doing so and stands her ground. Will she get into trouble for doing so? One has to watch the movie to find out.

The trailer which was released by the makers last week portrayed how Trisha’s character in the movie puts up a tough fight against members of a political party when they instruct her to produce incorrect reports. The political thriller tracks the journey of Gayathri, who stays undeterred, despite threats from politicians and manages to hold on to her professional responsibilities as a medical practitioner.
