Watch: Rajinikanth dances to ‘Oruvan Oruvan Mudalali’ at Soundarya's sangeet

Rajinikanth’s daughter, Soundarya Rajinikanth’s marriage to businessman Vishagan Vanangamudi, has taken the social media by storm. The couple got married in a ceremony at the Leela Palace in Chennai on Monday. Pictures from the star-studded event have been doing the rounds online. The wedding had in attendance a lot of film celebrities and politicians including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.

In the latest video that has gone viral from the pre-wedding celebrations of the couple, a jubilant Rajinikanth can be seen shaking a leg to his hit number ‘Oruvan Oruvan Mudalali’ from Muthu. The video, posted on Instagram, has the actor dancing to the peppy song amidst a large crowd cheering for his performance on the dance floor. Rajinikanth, known for his signature dance moves, was clearly the star of the show.

The video has been shared widely on social media platforms because it’s not every day that you see the superstar burn the dance floor off screen!

Sharing pictures from the event, the official photographers of the event ‘Made in Mono’ wrote on Instagram:

"Happiness, unplugged. The calm before what was one of the most amazing sangeets we could ever imagine shooting."

Soundarya Rajinikanth also shared pictures from the event, the most lovely one being Rajinikanth holding her in a tight embrace.

On February 4, Soundarya Rajinikanth confirmed the news of her wedding with a post on Twitter. Sharing a photograph of herself dressed in a silk saree and wearing gold jewellery, Soundarya had tweeted the following hashtags - ‘Bride Mode’, ‘One week to go’ and ‘Ved Vishagan Soundarya’. 

Soundarya started her career as a graphic designer and has worked in films like Baba, Majaa, and Sivaji. She also directed Kochadaiiyaan and VIP . Vishagan is the son of the pharmaceutical giant SS Vanangamudi, founder of Apex Laboratories Pvt Ltd. He made his Tamil debut with the 2018 thriller Vanjagar Ulagam.
