Watch: To Paris, from Pakistan: Why all Muslims will not apologise for terrorism

Written by : TNM Staff

With Islamic fundamentalism again coming to the fore in the wake of the Paris terror attacks, a group called 'Pakistani Comedians' has put out a video urging people to change their mindset about all Muslims being terrorists. But, this time they do it with some humour.

Released two days after the Paris attacks, the group says through the video that all Muslims in the world just want to live their lives, love their family, friends and neighbours, and be at peace with themselves, their world and their God.

It seeks to reverse the stereotypical thinking, whereby all Muslims get branded as terrorists after a terror attack in any part of the world. The comedians in the video put it in perspective- “That is like blaming all Germans for the actions of Hitler; Blaming the Chinese for the actions of Mao; or Blaming the Russians for the actions of Stalin.”

The group aims to promote a pacifist view of Islam, of being a religion that promotes peace and decries violence.
