Watch: Anushka Shetty-Madhavan starrer 'Nishabdham' pre-teaser released

The pre-teaser of Anushka, Madhavan starrer Nishabdham has been released on the eve of Deepavali, on Sunday. The full teaser of the film is scheduled to be released on November 7. Directed by Hemanth Madhukar, the 20-second clip has some intriguingly shot visuals and a haunting background score that does not reveal much.

The pre-teaser shows a lake house, an ariel shot of a funeral and a violing performance being apploauded. Expectations are high over the subject of the film and over Anushka’s look in the film.

Anuska Shetty will be seen playing the role of Sakshi, a mute artist. Madhavan will be seen as Anthony, a celebrity musician. The characters of the rest of the cast have not been revealed yet. Sources in the know say that Nishabdam/Silence is a crossover movie and a silent film.

According to reports, it will be a unique attempt by the filmmaker. Anushka has reportedly done a lot of research to fit into the character she is playing in the film, say sources. We hear that the actor interacted with a number of speech and hearing-impaired people in Hyderabad to get to know their body language better.

The team had been shooting the film in various locations in the US as the story is set there. Set against the backdrop of Seattle in the USA, the shooting of Nishabdham has been wrapped up and the post-production is currently underway.

The film is being made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. It also stars Michael Madsen, Anjali, Shalini Pandey, Subbaraju and Srinivasa Avasarala in the supporting roles. Bankrolled by director Kona Venkat and TG Vishwa Prasad under the banners People Media Factory and Kona Film Corporation, the technical crew of the film includes Gopi Sunder for music and Shaneil Deo for cinematography.
