It is well known that Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi is playing the main antagonist in the Malayalam film Lucifer. On signing up for the role, the star has said in an interview that though he was offered a role in Malayalam films several times before, he did not accept it as nothing was interesting enough to grab his attention. 

Finally, his debut in Mollywood will be with Lucifer. Vivek Oberoi spoke about the film in a recent press interaction: “I was so excited about the script, After Prithvi narrated the script, I immediately told I want to be a part of it. I can say that as an actor, Prithvi has pushed me to a point where it is challenging and exciting to play it. It is a very exciting project and I don’t know whether I will get a role like this in Hindi. I don’t think I have played a character of this sort in my entire career. It’s a character with many layers of grey and is a crazy experience.” 

Though the role he is doing in Lucifer is exciting, Vivek Oberoi is having a tough time learning and delivering his dialogues. However, his interest in the project is ensuring that he stays focused. 

Lucifer is one of the most expected films in Mollywood as it marks the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film has Mohanlal playing the lead role with Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Vivek Oberoi, and Tovino in pivotal roles. Those in the supporting roles include Kalabhavan Shajon, Sai Kumar, director Fazil, Sunil Sughatha, Thara Kalyan, Praveena Thomas and Mala Parvathy. 

The shooting of this film began on July 18th and will be shot extensively at different locations in Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai and Kuttikkanam. The technical crew of the film includes Sujith Vasudevan for cinematography and Samjith for editing while Stephen Devassy will be in charge of the music composition. Veteran writer and actor Murali Gopy has penned the script for Lucifer which is touted to be a political thriller.
