It’s another Thursday and Thala Ajith’s fans have a reason to celebrate. The makers from the star’s next outing Vivegam – continuing the Thursday sentiment - have released a new still and it has sent legions of his fans into a tizzy. The still features Ajith holding a sniper rifle in the snow-filled backdrop of Bulgaria.

In the film, he plays an Interpol officer and going by the still, one can feel assured that there’s plenty of action in the film. With the film inching closer to completion, sources indicate that it will hit the screens in August.

The team is currently filming the final schedule in Bulgaria where they had already shot majority portions of the film. Being directed by Siva, who has teamed up for the third time with Ajith after Veeram and Vedalam, the film also introduces Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist to Tamil filmdom. Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan play pivotal roles. According to sources, Ajith looks his stylish best in the film and has also set an example by sporting six-pack abs despite a long history of medical condition.

Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Vivegam has music by Anirudh Ravichander and it is loosely based on Liam Neeson’s Taken, according to industry grapevine.
