Vishal refuses to apologize, plans to contest in Producers’ Council election

Written by : TNM

Nadigar Sangam General Secretary and actor Vishal has refused to apologise for the controversial comments he made against the TNFPC (Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council) and is ready to face any action taken against him.

The actor strongly criticised the current office bearers and said they have not taken any steps to solve the pending issues of remuneration of technicians, curbing of piracy or of bringing new revenue streams to the film industry.

The Producers Council has condemned Vishal's comments and demanded an apology from the actor. If he fails to apologise, the Council said it will not support his future films except Kaththi Sandai.

In a recent media interaction, Vishal clearly stated that he is not going to take back his words and will not apologize to anyone. He also said that he is ready to face the consequences.

Vishal also indicated that he has plans to contest the Producers’ Council elections scheduled next year. It will again be a team of youngsters like that of Nadigar Sangam, and he will garner the support of young producers, actor-turned-producers and director-turned-producers to form a team and contest the elections.
