Vikram keen to do a non-bilingual Telugu film

Written by : TNM

Most southern stars including Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun are keen on working in bilingual projects as it benefits the prospects of expanding one’s base. However, Vikram hasn’t capitalized on it yet despite having a good fan base in the Telugu industry too.

We’ve learnt from reliable sources that the Anniyan star, following the success of Inkokkadu (Telugu version of Irumugan), is seriously considering doing a Telugu-only project and has even initiated talks with a few producers.

In fact, Vikram came close to doing a Telugu-only film a few years ago. However, the plan didn’t materialize and since then the actor has been planning and waiting for the right script, to enter the Telugu market all guns blazing. In Inkokkadu, Vikram even dubbed in his own voice for Love’s character and, his ability to speak the language without an accent was widely appreciated.

Busy gearing up for the shoot of Saamy 2, Vikram is busy zeroing in on his next project, as three directors are vying for the opportunity. Although rumoured to have confirmed director Socrates’s script as his next project, sources also indicate that he has expressed interest in director Magizh Thirumeni’s action script.
