The road ahead has been cleared for the release of Vijay Sethupatji’s Sidhubaadh which will now hit the screens on Thursday, June 27. The film has finally found its release date after a delay of almost a month.

Shan Sutharsan of Vasan Movies, the film’s co-producer, confirmed the news to TNM. “We have completed the settlement and also received the No Objection Certificate (NoC) from them. The film will release on Thursday,” he said.

Advocate Pujitha Gorantla, Arka Media’s counsel, also confirmed the same. “We have reached an understanding with the producers and have issued the NoC. The film will be releasing tomorrow,” she added.

Sindhubaadh, jointly produced by K Production’s Rajarajan and Vasan Movies’ Shan Sutharsan was originally slated for release in May and then later on June 21.

Arka Media Works, makers of the magnum opus Baahubali series, had recently filed a case against SN Rajarajan of K Productions, who had distributed the Tamil version of the movies in Tamil Nadu, for the unpaid dues he owes to the production house. K Productions bought the theatrical rights for Baahubali for Rs 28 crore and paid Rs 12.5 crore. For the remaining amount, Rajarajan went ahead with a loan agreement with Shobu Yarlagadda which he has failed to repay.

It was reported that Sindhubaadh cannot be released when there’s a status quo in place. The status quo was ordered by the Hyderabad High Court for Sindhubaadh as well as Dhanush’s Enai Noki Paayum Thota on May 8 this year.

Meanwhile, quite a few releases have been scheduled for this weekend with four films hitting the screens on June 28. These include Yogi Babu’s Dharma Prabhu and Lakshmy Ramakrishnan's House Owner.

The makers of Sindhubaadh released a sneak-peek on Tuesday that has reached over 2 lakh views so far.
