Vijay Sethupathi likely to foray into Bollywood with Kashyap film

Written by : TNM

If everything goes as planned, Vijay Sethupathi will soon make his Bollywood debut in Anurag Kashyap’s production in a film titled Mard ko Dard Nahi Hota. Sources close to Sethupathi have not denied the news. The project will be directed by Vasan Bala, and it will star Abhimanyu Dasan and Radhika Madan in the lead. The regular shooting is expected to commence in the next few weeks. It wasn’t long ago that a picture featuring Anurag Kashyap, Sethupathi and Bala did the rounds on social media. While many believed it was merely a casual meeting, nobody expected them to collaborate on a project.

“It’s true that talks have been initiated with Vijay Sethupathi. However, he is yet to officially sign on the dotted line. He liked the film’s knot and would have jumped at the opportunity if not for his back-to-back commitments. He will take a call on the project very soon,” a source close to Sethupathi said.

In Kollywood, Vijay Sethupathi has just wrapped Vikram Vedha cop thriller which also stars Madhavan. Directed by director duo Pushkar-Gayatri, the film also stars Shraddha Srinath, Kathir and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in pivotal roles.

Vijay Sethupathi is currently shooting for Karuppan and he also has Aneethi Kathaigal, 96, and a yet-untitled project with actor-filmmaker Cheran in his kitty. He also has Puriyatha Puthir directed by debutant Ranjith Jeyakodi and Idam Porul Eval helmed by Seenu Ramasamy – his long-time pending projects.
