The Kannada film KGF: Chapter 1 was dubbed in four languages – Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu – and released simultaneously last month. The film received an overwhelming response from the audiences and celebs alike.

While the reviews were good, many celebrities took to social media to heap praises on the team. The latest addition to this is the Tamil star Vijay. He had expressed his desire to see the film and a special screening was arranged for him in Chennai.

Soon after the show, he lauded the efforts of the KGF team for coming up with an excellent movie and congratulated on the grand success. Members of the film unit present during the special screening were elated over the praise coming from none other than an icon in the Tamil film industry.

The Yash starrer KGF, which hit the silver screens on December 21st last year, was directed by Prashanth Neel, who had also written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Vijay Kiragandur had bankrolled the project under his banner Hombale Films.

The film has Srinidhi Shetty playing the heroine. While Yash and Srinidhi Shetty play the lead pair in it, the rest of the star cast includes Achyuth Kumar, Nassar, Anant Nag and Vasishta N. Simha. The film was narrated by Anant Nag.

The technical team comprised music director Ravi Basrur, cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, and art director Shivakumar.

KGF team is currently busy shooting scenes for KGF: Chapter 2. It may be noted here that the team had already shot about 15 percent of the sequel while making the first part and will be filming the remaining portions to ensure a speedy release.

Sources say that Yash has put his other project on hold to concentrate in the sequel so that he could cash in on KGF’s success.
