Vijay Deverakonda takes responsibility for 'NOTA'

Written by : Digital Native

Vijay Deverakonda’s success spree came to an end with his latest outing NOTA not being well received at the theatres like his previous ventures. Vijay made his debut with Nuvvila and his first lead role was in Pelli Choopulu which won two National Film Awards for Best Telugu film, and Best Screenplay – Dialogues. His Arjun Reddy was smash hit and he topped it with Geetha Govindam. This raised the expectation levels for NOTA but the film did not fare well at the box office.

In an open letter taking responsibility for it, he wrote:

NOTA is a political thriller directed by Anand Shankar of Arima Nambi fame. Mehreen Pirzada, seen in films such as Raja The Great and Nenjil Thunivirunathal, plays the leading lady. The film was bankrolled by KE Gnanavel Raja under his banner Studio Green on a huge budget.
