Vijay Antony in Mammootty-Nayanthara starrer?

Malayalam megastar Mammootty and lady superstar Nayanthara are teaming up for a film to be directed by Vipin. It is a bilingual that will be made in Malayalam and Tamil. Earlier reports suggested that Vijay Sethupathi, who made his Mollywood debut recently, will be playing a pivotal role in this flick. But according to the latest reports, he turned down the offer due to date issues. Sources in the know say that Vijay Antony has bagged the offer and will be joining the sets. The shooting for this yet to be titled film is slated to begin later this year.

In the meantime, Mammootty will join the sets of the Santosh Vishwanath directorial titled One next month. Bobby and Sanjay are the scriptwriters for this film and this is the first time that they are teaming up with Mammootty. According to reports, the star will be seen playing the Chief Minister.

In the meantime, Mammootty is expecting the release of Maamaankam. Made on a budget of Rs 50 crore, the film is directed by M Padma Kumar. Ganesh Rajavelu aka Jim Ganesh is wielding the camera, M Jayachandran is scoring the music, Sreekar Prasad is in charge of the editing and Kaecha Khamphakdee is choreographing the stunts. The film is bankrolled by Venu Kunnampilly under the banner Kavya Films. The film has four heroines – Prachi Desai, Prachi Tehlan, Malavika Menon and Abhirami V Iyer.

The other Mammootty starrer set for release is Ganagandharvan. The post-production is happening full swing and the film will hit the marquee on September 27. Mammootty is currently busy with Shylock. The shooting for this film commenced last month and is progressing steadily. Shylock will be a bilingual that will be released in Tamil and Malayalam. The film is directed by Ajai Vasudev, who is teaming up with Mammootty for the third time.
