Veteran director Bharathiraja in Sivakarthikeyan’s next

Sivakarthikeyan is currently busy with the film Hero, which is being directed by PS Mithran. The film will have Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role with Kalyani Priyadarshan and Ivana as the female leads.

Arjun, Vivek and Robo Shankar have been roped in to play pivotal roles in this film, which has been tentatively titled Hero. RD Raja and KJR Studios will be bankrolling this venture. George C Williams and Ruben will be in charge of the film’s cinematography and editing respectively.

The star will also work in another film, which will be directed by Pandiraj. The film is being bankrolled by Kalanidhi Maran’s Sun Pictures. An update about this yet to be titled film is that veteran actor Bharathiraja has been roped in to play a pivotal role.

Incidentally, Bharathiraja has another film, Kennedy Club lined up for release this year. Director Suseenthiran, whose forte is in making sports-based films, is currently directing this film on women’s Kabbadi.

The film has veteran director Bharathiraja in the lead role and teaming up with him is another director and actor Sasikumar. The star cast also includes Samuthirakani in a pivotal role. The technical crew of Kennedy Club comprises D Imman for music, B Sekar for art direction and RB Gurudev for cinematography. Thai Saravanan is bankrolling the venture under his banner Nallusamy Pictures.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan is gearing up for the release of Mr Local. It is a comic caper that is being directed by M Rajesh. Sharing the screen space with Sivakarthikeyan as his heroine is Nayanthara.

Hip Hop Thamizha is composing the tunes for this venture with Dinesh Krishnan cranking the camera and Vivek Harshan in charge of the editing. Mr Local is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under his banner Studio Green and will be distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies. The film is being planned for release on May 1.
