Written by : TNM

Director Shankar is one of the few filmmakers to heap praises on his contemporaries and colleagues whenever their film turns out to be good.

Having lauded many in the past, Shankar took to Twitter to praise director Raam Reddy for his film Thithi.

Shankar posted: “I got to see “Thithi” Kannada movie today only. A very good realistic art film. Hats off to director Raam reddy.”

Thithi, written by Eregowda and Raam Reddy, has been directed by the latter.

The film, comprising non-professional actors, is about how three generations of a family react to the death of a 101-year-old patriarch.

Produced by Pratap Reddy and Sunmin Park under the banner Prspctvs Productions Maxmedia, Thithi premiered at the Locarno Film Festival on August 10, 2015, and on May 6, 2016, in India.

It was out on Netflix on March 9, 2017.

The film has Thammegowda S, Channegowda, Abhishek HN and Pooja SM in the star cast.
