Vanamagan introduces Jayam Ravi as Kollywood’s new Tarzan

Written by : TNM

One glimpse at the first look poster of Jayam Ravi’s Vanamagan, released on Sunday night is sure to give one the feeling that Kollywood has found its own Tarzan. Keeping aside the striking similarity with the popular character Tarzan, the poster features Ravi in a never-before-seen lean avatar and the weight loss is very evident. Hanging from the branches of a tree, he’s seen with a bow and arrow against the backdrop of a forest.

Sharing the poster on his Twitter page, Ravi wrote that the film will be an action fest with loads of entertainment. He had recently revealed in a press interaction that the movie features high-octane action sequences and Ravi chose do his stunts without a body double.

In the film, he will be seen playing a tribal character and will fight against an important global issue. Paired with Sayyeshaa, who is making her Tamil debut, nearly 80 per cent of the film’s shooting has been completed. The makers are planning to dub the movie in Telugu and release it simultaneously.

Directed by Vijay, and produced by his father, the film has music by Harris Jayaraj. It has been shot in several exotic locations including Vietnam, Thailand and in the forests of Tirupathi.
