Written by : TNM

Ever since Sandalwood star Upendra announced that he will be taking the plunge in politics, an eager buzz has been growing among his fans. When the star convened a news conference at his Ruppi Resorts a few days ago, he did not formally announce a name or release a symbol for his political party.

However, Upendra gave out three e-mail IDs asking his fans and other members of the public to provide suggestions and ideas for his new party.

Upendra had said during the news conference, “Everyone should come forward, it is an open form. Please come forward and share your ideas without any hesitation or feelings that politics needs money or muscle power or caste support. Let’s all – people – join together for a new beginning.”

His request seems to have received a massive response, with sources that saying that ideas have come from people from all walks of life from various parts of the world.

Upendra’s announcement has also received support from within the film industry, with actor Yash welcoming his move and wishing him well.

The Sandalwood star’s entry into politics has been long expected. While there were rumours that he would join the BJP, Upendra’s decision to float his own political party set them to rest.

Meanwhile, on the film front, the actor’s Upendra Matte Hutti Baa, Inti Prema is slated for release soon, while his Uppi Rupee and Home Minister are still under production.
