After seen playing light-hearted roles, actor Udhayanidhi Stalin will be seen playing a psycho in Mysskin’s next project which, according to a Times of India report, has been titled Psycho. The film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari as the leading lady. Interestingly, for both Udhay and Aditi, they’re joining hands with Mysskin for the first time.

“This is the first time that Udhay is teaming up with Mysskin, and he wanted this film to be a very special one. The actor has become choosy with his scripts and wants to move away from doing regular rom-coms or commercial ventures. That’s why he was kicked about Mysskin’s script. The film has been titled Psycho, and the shooting will begin by the end of this month. Maestro Ilayaraja will compose the music, while PC Sreeram will crank the camera,” a source was quoted in the Times of India.

This will be Aditi’s third Tamil outing after Kaatru Veliyidai and Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. On signing the project, she had said: “For me, it’s all about the director and his vision. I’ve followed Mysskin sir’s work, and I really like his style of filmmaking. His work is meaningful, and as an actress, it’s amazing to listen to him explain your character.” She said she’s looking forward to work with him as it’ll be challenging as well as fun.

It’s worth mentioning that Mysskin had recently signed Shanthanu Bhagyaraj for a project which, for reasons unknown, has been shelved. On signing the project, Shanthanu had said: “This is like my first film and I have no words to explain my happiness. People used to say that I have made so many mistakes in my past. But I learned so much. This film will be a re-birth for me. I am going to surrender to sir.” The film was to have cinematography by PC Sreeram. Nithya Menen and Sai Pallavi were in talks to play the leading ladies.
