Udayanidhi Stalin starrer Kanne Kalaimane, directed by award-winning director Seenu Ramasamy, has been certified with a clean U certificate by the censor board. The film’s shooting commenced in early 2018 and progressed at a brisk pace which ensured that it was wrapped up in a single 45-day schedule.

Starring Udayanidhi Stalin and Tammannah as the lead pair, the star cast also includes Vadivukkarasi, Shaji Chen, Vasundhara Kashyap and Vetrikumaran in supporting roles. The music for the film has been composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who is associating with the director after Dharma Durai, which had some chartbuster hits.

Vairamuthu had penned the lyrics for the songs in this album. Jalandhar Vasan has cranked the camera for Kanne Kalaimane while Kasi Viswanathan was roped in as the editor. The film is bankrolled by its hero Udayanidhi Stalin under his banner Red Giant Movies.

Kanne Kalaimane has been censored and its release date is expected to be revealed soon. Meanwhile, its lead star is gearing up for his next, which will be directed by the maverick director Mysskin. Titled as Psycho, the film will have Aditi Rao Hydari playing the female lead.

It will also star Nithya Menen, Ram and Shaji Chen in important roles. Director Mysskin, apparently, has signed up some top names in the film industry for this venture which include maestro Ilayaraja for music and PC Sriram for cinematography.

On the other hand, director Seenu Ramasamy had revealed that his next would be with Vijay Sethupathi. The film will be bankrolled by Yuvan Shankar Raja. It may be noted here that this will be the fourth film together for Seenu Ramasamy and Vijay Sethupathi taking into account the award-winning film Then Merkku Paruvakaatru.
