Director Trivikram Srinivas’s Agnyaathavaasi, which had Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, released recently to mixed reviews. And now we hear that the director is busy planning his next.

The buzz is that he has acquired the rights of popular author Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani’s novel and will be making it into a film with Jr NTR in the lead. Though this has been revealed, we do not yet know the title of the novel he is adapting into a film.

However, sources say that this time around he has opted for a family drama which will have a high dose of comedy, true to his style. Trivikram Srinivas had earlier acquired the rights of the same writer’s novel to make the film A... Aa, which was based on Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani’s novel Meena.

This project, which will be NTR’s 28th film, is expected to go on the floors soon. The groundwork is already on, and more details regarding the heroine and the rest of the star cast are likely to be revealed soon. According to industry sources, Anu Emmanuel and composer Anirudh who teamed up with Trivikram in Agnyaathavaasi will be a part of this untitled project, though there is no official confirmation on the same.

It may be mentioned here that with Trivikram’s last release Agnyaathavaasi turning out to be a box office dud, there were reports that his project with Jr NTR has been shelved. But sources say that there is no truth in such reports as both of them are keen on taking it further. We hear that the film will start rolling from March onwards with the filmmakers planning a September release.

With Jr NTR and Trivikram Srinivas teaming up for the first time, expectations are high on this project. Well, fans just can’t wait to know about the rest of the details, including its genre.
