Trisha begins work on NH10 Tamil remake

Written by : TNM

Trisha has begun 2017 on an exciting note. With a thrilling line-up of films in her kitty this year, she has begun work on her new film Garjanai, the Tamil remake of Anushka Sharma starrer NH 10, a road thriller on honour killing.

Being directed by debutant Sundar B, the film is produced by Century International Films, and also stars Vamsi Krishna and popular Hindi television actor Amit Bhargav. While the film’s principal shooting began in last December, Trisha has just joined the sets.

The film was originally planned with Samantha but it was eventually bagged by Trisha who, bored of playing a heroine to her senior male counterparts, has chosen to be part of interesting women-centric projects this year. Despite the debacle of Nayaki, her first attempt at going solo, she hasn’t given up on the dream yet and has horror-thriller Mohini and another road film 96 in the offing.

She’s also part of Sathuranga Vettai 2, which also stars Arvind Swami, and she’s believed to be playing a role with negative shades in the film.
