"Was he a Patriot? Was he a Traitor? Was he a Murderer?"
These are the questions that Akshay Kumar's upcoming film "Rustom" revolves around.
Kumar on Thursday took to Twitter to release the trailer of the movie in which plays a naval officer.

The film is said to be based on the sensational 1950's Nanavati case, in which a naval officer shot his wife's paramour.

Kawas Nanavati, a naval commandant shot his wife Sylvia’s lover and his friend Prem Ahuja. The case was probably the first time a crime of passion was discussed in India. This case however holds significance for another reason- the trial was also the last in India in which a jury delivered the verdict.
In 1960, Nanavati was granted a pardon by the Maharashtra Governor and the former along with Slyvia their children moved to Canada.
"Rustom" has been directed by debutant Tinu Suresh Desai and written by Vipul K Rawal. It also stars Ileana D'cruz, Arjan Bajwa and Esha Gupta among others.
"Rustom" is set for an August 12 release.
