Nikhil Kumar, son of Karnataka's ex-Chief Minister Kumaraswamy, is one of the fastest rising heroes in the Kannada film industry.

With a couple of movies in his kitty, the youngster is gearing up to play the lead role in Seetha Rama Kalyana, which is slated to go on to the floors later this month. Director A Harsha is busy with the groundwork to get this project on to the floors and is assembling his cast and crew meticulously.

According to the latest reports, Harsha has signed up the leading Tollywood stunt director duo – Ram and Lakshman – to choreograph the action sequences in Seetha Rama Kalyana. One of the most wanted stunt choreographers in Tollywood, the duo have worked in several hit movies. They have choreographed stunts for films such as Duvvada Jagannadham and Jai Lava Kusa recently and are awaiting the release of N Balakrishna’s Jai Simha and Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam.

Seetha Rama Kalyana, made by Nikhil Kumar’s home banner Channambika Productions is expected to hit the silver screens around June this year. Rachita Ram has been roped in to play the female lead in this movie and veteran Tamil star R Sarath Kumar will be seen in a pivotal role.

A Harsha made his directorial debut with the Kannada movie Geleya in 2007 and has directed films such as Chingaari, Vajrakaya, Jai Maruthi 800 and Anjani Putra. Incidentally, his last outing, the Puneeth Rajkumar starrer Anjani Putra received mixed response following which the director is keen on coming up with a blockbuster hit.

Nikhil Kumar made his acting debut in the 2016 film Jaguar and is currently busy with the historical Kurukshetra. He will be joining the sets of Seetha Rama Kalyana soon after he is done with the latter film, which is in the final stages of production.
