Title, first look of Nayanthara’s next on her birthday

Written by : TNM

Nayanthara has completed shooting her portion for writer-director Minjur Gopi’s upcoming yet-untitled project, which also stars child actors from the National award-winning Tamil film, Kaaka Muttai.

In the film, she plays a District Collector, who delves into the water problems of her jurisdiction. The first look and title of this project will be unveiled on the midnight of November 17 to usher in the birthday of Nayanthara.  Although reports suggest that the film has been titled Maatrum, sources close to the film’s unit have denied the same.

Nayanthara is currently busy shooting for Atharvaa-starrer Imaikaa Nodigal, in which she plays a police commissioner and will slug it out with Anurag Kashyap who plays the antagonist. Following the success of Maya in which she plays the titular role, it’s interesting to see Nayanthara take up even brief roles with good scope for performance. She no longer wants to restrict herself to the leading lady’s role opposite stars.

Last seen in Kaashmora, where she was appreciated for her fiery role, Nayanthara will next be seen in another woman-centric thriller called Dora. She’s also in talks for Pawan Kalyan’s next project.
