The second look was released on his birthday on June 22, giving the fans the birthday treat they wanted. Titled Mersal, this Vijay starrer is one of the most expected films of this year.

While the first and second look have met with a positive response from the film buffs, a third look of the film has also found its way to the net and is going viral. However, the makers of Mersal have made it clear that their third poster being circulated on the net is fake and is not the official version. The tweet from Sri Thenandal Films in this regard was: “We would like to clarify that the image claimed to be the third look of #Mersal circulating in the internet is fake.”

Surya, Sathyaraj, Vadivelu, Sathyan, Misha Ghoshal, Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, Hareesh Peradi, Rajendran and Cheenu Mohan. Give the huge popularity of the lead stars, Mersal will be released in Telugu with the title Adhirindhi. The story of the film is penned by the Baahubali fame KV Vijayendra Prasad who had collaborated with director Atlee and Ramana Girivasan for the screenplay. While the music for the songs has been composed by AR Rahman, the background score is by Qutub-E-Kripa. GK Vishnu is cranking the camera for this film with Ruben taking care of the editing.
