‘Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru’ director Vinoth may team up with Ajith soon

In January, reports emerged that director H Vinoth, who made a splash with the Karthi starrer Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, is likely to team up with Ilaiyathalapathy Vijay next and that discussions were already underway.

Vijay apparently met Vinoth recently and appreciated his work in Theeran, a movie based on some real events which shook Tamil Nadu police to their bones in the last couple of decades. Sources in the know say that Vijay is keen to collaborate with Vinoth and it might happen sooner than expected.

In other news from the industry grapevine, it is learnt that Vinoth may join hands with Ajith too and the project might materialise soon.

Sources say Vinoth recently pitched a one-line idea to Ajith, who really liked it and wanted the former to develop it into a script. It has to be seen which of the two projects – one with Vijay or with Ajith – will materialise first, as both stars are currently busy with their respective commitments. Vijay has already started shooting for his next yet-untitled project with AR Murugadoss.

Vinoth, on the other hand, is also rumoured to have a project with Suriya in the pipeline. Currently shooting for Suriya 36, being helmed by Selvaraghavan, Suriya will next team up with Ayan and Maattrraan director KV Anand. Suriya also has a project with Irudhi Suttru director Sudha Kongara in his kitty, so it has to be seen when he will find time to collaborate with Vinoth.

Meanwhile Ajith’s Viswasam with director Siva is expected to go on the floors later this month. To be produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, the project was officially launched last December and Lady Superstar Nayanthara will be seen as Ajith’s love interest. This movie will reunite Nayanthara and Ajith after a gap of five years.

In Viswasam, which is reportedly set in the backdrop of north Chennai, Ajith is said to be playing the role of an honest police officer. It will be Siva’s fourth consecutive outing with Ajith after Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam.
