Telugu film 'Arjun Reddy' reaches the Rs 50 crore club

Arjun Reddy is undoubtedly one of the biggest hits in Tollywood this year. The film, made on a budget of mere Rs. 4 crore had fetched Rs. 6 crore through distribution rights.

Additionally, it has had a dream run at the box office, with the film going on to collect Rs. 50 crore during its 50-day run at the box office.

According to the trade analysts, Arjun Reddy had gone on to collect Rs. 32.30 crore at the Andhra and Nizam box office with the distributor share being Rs. 17.60 crore. In the US, the film managed to gross Rs, 11.60 crore with the distributor share being Rs. 5.80 crore. While in Karnataka the gross collection was Rs. 3.80 crore, the distributor share was Rs. 1.35 crore, in ROI and ROW, it was 3.30 crore and Rs. 1.25 crore.

Summing it all, the gross collection of the film stood at Rs. 51 crore with the distributor share being Rs. 26 crore.

Written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Arjun Reddy is produced by Pranay Reddy Vanga under the banner Bhadrakali Pictures.

Starring Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey as the lead pair, the film also has Kanchana, Rahul Ramakrishna, Sanjay Swaroop, Kamal Kamaraju, Gopinath Bhat, Jia Sharma, Amit Sharma and Priyadarshi Pullikonda.

Radhan has composed music for this flick with Raju Thota wielding the camera and Shashank editing it.

Turning out to be one of the biggest hits of the year, there is a huge demand for the film’s remake rights. While there are reports that Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films has obtained the Tamil remake rights of the film, the buzz is that popular Kannada producer Rockline Venkatesh is in talks for its Kannada remake rights.

Sources also point out that Yash may be reprising Vijay Devarakonda’s role in the Kannada version.
