Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas is desperately in need of a hit after his films Jaya Janaki Nayaka and Sakshyam were flops. The teaser of his upcoming release Kavacham seems like he will be ending the dry run at the box office soon. For the first time, Bellamkonda Sreenivas will don the khakhi for Kavacham.

He plays a cop in this action thriller that has Kajal Agarwal and Mehreen Pirzada as his female leads. The film is directed by newbie Sreenivas Mamilla and bankrolled by Naveen Chowdary Sontineni under the banner Vamsadhara Creations.

Kavacham has the Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh playing the baddie with the star cast also including Posani Krishna Murali, Ajay and Mukesh Rishi in pivotal roles. SS Thaman, who is fresh off from the success of Aravinda Sametha, has scored the tunes for the film.

Speaking at the teaser launch, director Sreenivas Mamilla said, “All the actors have done a terrific job. Kavacham is not a regular film. It is going to be completely different from what you have seen so far.”

Mehreen Pirzada had said, “I liked the teaser very much and I heard that the film also came out very well. It’s been a great journey and I am happy to be a part of this film.”

Kajal Agarwal pointed out that it is “a thriller with lots of romance in it.”

With Kavacham’s teaser is garnering attention among the film buffs, its release has created a high expectation level. Reports are that it will hit the marquee in December this year and the date will be announced soon.
