TDP takes on KCR for 'too many posters and no work' ahead of GHMC polls

Written by : TNM Staff

With the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls coming closer, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has upped the ante and has uploaded a video, criticizing the ruling TRS government.

The main message of the video is that Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was only putting up posters and not developing the city.

"All publicity and no work will make Hyderabad an ignored city!" the party said on its official Facebook page, where it posted the video.

This came on the same day when high drama was witnessed at the offices of all the major political parties on Thursday as disappointed aspirants held protest demonstrations against denial of tickets in the ensuing GHMC elections, The Hindu reported.

The report adds:

Chaotic scenes prevailed at the Congress, TDP and the BJP headquarters as disgruntled party leaders vented their ire. So much so, they accused the party’s top leadership of ignoring the committed party men and giving tickets to their chosen ones.
