Suresh Gopi's film with Nithin Renji Panicker is titled 'Kaaval'

It was recently announced that veteran actor Suresh Gopi has been roped in for playing an important role in an upcoming directed by Nithin Renji Panicker. The makers have now revealed the title of the film -- Kaaval.

The makers tweeted saying, "So happy to Announce our next big project #kaaval starring super star #sureshgopi its directed by #Nithinrenjipaniker. Here is the title poster !! Need all blessing & support #kaavalrollingsoon @VRFridayMatinee @boxofficeindia @Forum_Reelz @Forumkeralam1 @rameshlaus @sri50 (sic)."

The film marks Nithin's second directorial venture. Nithin, son of screenwriter-actor Renji Panicker, started out as an assistant director, primarily assisting Shaji Kailas. His directional debut was Mammootty starrer Kasaba, which had run into some controversy for its misogynistic lines. In a recent media interaction, Nithin revealed that the new film will be an action family drama which will also have emotion and that it will showcase the story of two eras. Earlier, there were reports of this film being a sequel to the 1997 crime film Lelam but the director has clarified that it is not.

Kaaval will also have another veteran actor, Lal, in an important role. The cast also includes Zaya David, Muthumani, IM Vijayan, Sujith Sankar, Alencier, and Kannan Rajan P Dev. Joby George is bankrolling the film under his banner Goodwill Entertainments. National award-winning cinematographer Nikhil S Praveen will crank the camera with Mansoor Muthootti doing the editing and Ranjin Raj composing the tunes.

Suresh Gopi is currently busy with a film directed by Anoop Sathyan, son of veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad. The film is produced by Dulquer Salmaan under his banner Wayfarer Films and he plays the lead role in it. Anoop Sathyan is is also scripting the film. The technical crew of the film includes Alphonse for music and Mukesh Muraleedharan for cinematography.
