As the superstar of Mollywood, actor Mohanlal, turns 56 on Saturday, his fans seems to have twin reasons to celebrate. There’s double the joy in the air, as the first teaser of his upcoming Malayalam film ‘Pulimurugan’ has seen daylight.

In the action thriller expected to release in July, Mohanlal is seen playing the role of Murugan, a wild hunter. According to reports, the film directed by Vysakh, has a thrilling action sequence in its 20-minute long climax where Mohanlal will be seen fighting a tiger. Vysakh was quoted as saying that the teaser would be Mohanlal’s birthday special.

As a tribute to “the complete actor”, the makers of Mohanlal’s upcoming Telugu film ‘Janatha Garage’ have also released the first set of posters of the film. 

Social media is abuzz with fans celebrating the birthday of their superstar Lalettan. Among others, actor Mammootty and director Vysakh took to Facebook to wish him on his birthday. 

In a Facebook post, 'Baahubali' director SS Rajamouli wished Mohanlal on his birthday and welcomed him to Telugu film industry.

In a music video titled 'Happy Birthday Laletta', prominent people from Malayalam film industry were seen wishing him on his birthday.
