Sudeep excited about starring with Chiranjeevi in ‘Sye Raa’

Kannada star Kiccha Sudeep captured the hearts of Telugu film buffs with his performance as a suave villain in the SS Rajamouli directorial Eega in 2012, in which he shared screen space with Nani and Samantha. He was then seen as Aslam Khan in the director’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015.

Now, after three years, Sudeep is back in the Telugu film circuit with a meaty role in one of the most expected films in Tollywood. Yes, he has bagged a role in the mega star Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which is a biopic on the legendary freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.

On inking the deal to star in the film, Sudeep has said that he is excited to share screen space with Chiranjeevi. The star reportedly said told that as this is the first time he is working with Chiru, he is looking forward to it.

Sye Raa, directed by Surendhar Reddy, is being bankrolled by Ram Charan Teja under his banner Konidela Production Company. The film has Chiranjeevi playing the title role with Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Huma Qureshi, Pragya Jaiswal, Sudeep and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles. The camerawork for the film is handled by R Rathnavelu while A Sreekar Prasad is in charge of the editing. According to reports doing the rounds, Big B has allotted a three-day call sheet for this project and will be seen making a guest appearance in the film.

The 200-crore project is based on the life of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy with the story penned by Prachuri Brothers. Sai Madhav Burra has penned the dialogues while the screenplay is handled by the film’s director Surendhar Reddy. Sye Raa is scheduled for release at Sankranthi next year.
