The already long star-cast of the NT Rama Rao biopic just got longer with two more additions. Actors Hansika Motwani and Shalini Pandey will be the latest to join the cast of the ambitious project.

While Hansika will be playing actor – politician Jayaprada in the film, Shalini Pandey will be seen as veteran actor Sowcar Janaki. There were also recent reports that the Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada actor Manjima Mohan has been roped in to play NTR’s daughter and N Chandra Babu Naidu’s wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari.

The movie, which went on floors in July, will be made in two parts -- NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu – highlighting both his film and political careers. Directed by J Krish and produced jointly by Nandamuri Balakrishna, Vishnu Induri and Sai Korrapati, the movie has an impressive list of actors including Vidya Balan, Mohan Babu, Sumanth, Keerthy Suresh, Rana Daggubati and others starring in it.

Nandamuri Balakrishna will be seen playing his dad NTR in the film, and it will have Sumanth playing Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Vidya Balan will play the role of NTR’s wife Basvatharakam and Rana Daggubati will act as N Chandrababu Naidu. MM Keeravani is the music composer for this venture with Gnana Shekar VS cranking the camera and Arram Ramakrishna as the editor.

The biopic, which is Nandamuri Balakrishna (Balayya)’s dream project, is scheduled for release next year with NTR – Kathanayakudu hitting the screens on January 9, 2019 and NTR – Mahanayakudu releasing in February.

While getting to see the life and success of NTR on the big screens is a huge treat for movie buffs, the inclusion of leading actors in the star cast is sure to be an added attraction.
