Sreesanth calls Kerala a 'city', war of words follows on Twitter

Written by : TNM Staff

Former cricketer S Sreesanth found himself at the receiving end of ridicule from Twitterati, after he tweeted about the need for change in Kerala on Monday. Sreesanth, who is contesting for the upcoming assembly election is in the process of campaigning. Things went haywire after he called Kerala a “city”.

It did not take much time for Twitter users to rush in to give Sreesanth a lesson in geography.

A user was outright blunt and called his political life “a disaster even before it started”.

Sreesanth was quick enough to rectify his mistake and clarified:

Puns found their way into his profile as reactions to his mistake poured in.

A bad decision, and Twitterati doesn't spare anyone. After Sreesanth blocked some users who tweeted against him, more criticism came his way.

Sreesanth must be an optimistic person. His Twitter account says, “time heals everything”. Let’s hope it does!
