Spanish model Janira Ider has been roped in to play one of the female leads in the upcoming Kannada-Hindi bilingual. The film is titled Dhoom Again in Kannada and Speed Boys in Hindi. Janira will be sharing screen space with debutants Rakesh, Praveer, Vasu and Arjun Shetty. Though Dhoom Again will mark Janira’s acting debut, according to reports she has worked in several music videos in her home country.

Besides these newbies, Dhoom Again / Speed Boys will also have former cricketer Sreesanth playing an important role. He will reportedly be seen as a police officer. This is Sreesanth’s second film in the Kannada film industry. The bilingual will be directed by Rajesh Varma, with Sujith Shetty and Raj Sethia bankrolling it.

The first teaser of Dhoom Again was launched by Kannada Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar on Sunday and got a lot of attention from film buffs.

Talking about the film, its director Rajesh Varma said in an interview to news18, “This film is just for the youth and has a very different storyline. The film will be a feast for your eyes, heart and emotions. A total entertainer.”

Referring to Sreesanth and his role, Rajesh revealed, “Not many of you are aware that Sreesanth is also a brilliant dancer. I hope that Dhoom Again will use his dancing talents extensively.”

Clarifying that Dhoom Again is in no way connected to the Hindi blockbuster Dhoom, producer Sujith Shetty said, “Since the film talks about the youth and is more of a biker’s story, we were excited about the title Dhoom. But since we can’t have the same title, we decided to go with Dhoom Again. A major sequence has been shot at Taneja Aerospace, Bengaluru, and we have used 300 superbikes and cars for it.”

The film is likely to be dubbed in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
