If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, actor Sivakarthikeyan is most likely expected to join hands with director Thiru for a yet-untitled project. Apparently, Thiru had pitched a story to Siva a few months and despite being bowled over, Siva couldn’t immediately sign the project as he was busy with his other commitments.

Currently busy shooting for SK 13, Sivakarthikeyan will soon commence work on his next project with director Ravi Kumar. Once he’s relived with both these projects, he’s expected to work Thiru, whose last outing was Gautham Karthik and Karthik starrer Mr Chandramouli.

Meanwhile, all eyes on Siva’s project with director Ravi Kumar, who has been working on the film’s pre-production for over a year now. There were rumours at one point that the project was shelved. During the promotions of Velaikkaran, Sivakarthikeyan had told reporters: “The delay in commencement is due to exhaustive research work for the project. I told Ravi that he can go work on another film and come back when I’m done with all my existing commitments. But he insisted that he will work on the pre-production and keep everything ready by the time I’m ready to join.” It has already been confirmed that the film will have music by double Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman.

Sivakarthikeyan, who recently wrapped up work on rural comedy Seemaraja, is also busy with the release of his first production Kanaa, a sports-based drama on women’s cricket. On taking the plunge into production, Sivakarthikeyan had said in a statement: “Film industry had given me the name and the fame. I owe a lot to the industry. I feel it is my responsibility to help my friends realize their dreams, the same friends who have stood beside me through thick and thin, we have always shared the same dream of achievement and glory.” The film has been directed by Arunraja Kamaraj. Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Ponram’s Seemaraja will hit the screens worldwide on September 13.
