Baahubali: the Beginning and Baahubali: the Conclusion were phenomenal hits, no doubt. In fact, all the characters remain etched in the memories of film buffs.

Now, there's news that the makers of Baahubali are planning a web series on the character Sivagami, which was played by Ramya Krishnan. According to reports, the web series would be made on a budget of Rs.10 crores and it would revolve around Sivagami’s character.

The groundwork to get this project on to the floors is reportedly happening and official word is awaited on the same. In all probability, the shooting would begin early next year, add sources in the know.

Deva Katta, a well-known director popular for making films such as Autonagar Surya, Prasthanam, and Vennela, will be wielding the megaphone for this web series. An interesting piece of information doing rounds about this project is that the web series is set in a time period even before the events of the Baahubali franchise unfolds, which means it would feature a younger version of Sivagami.

Therefore, it is not clear if Ramya Krishnan would reprise the role or another actor would be brought in. Well, for all news about this web series, we need to wait for an official statement from its makers and it is expected to be out soon.

It may be noted here that Baahubali, directed by SS Rajamouli, starred Prabhas in the title role with Anushka Shetty, Tammannah, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Nasser and Ramya Krishnan playing pivotal roles.

Rajamouli had said on several occasions that the world of Baahubali will never come to an end.The Baahubali franchise was produced by Arka Media Works on a budget of Rs. 450 crores. Released in several languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, etc., the film went on to collect over Rs. 1600 crores at the box office.
