Simbu’s “Idhu Namma Aalu” release delayed once again: this time due to TN elections?

Written by : TNM

Simbu’s romantic-comedy “Idhu Namma Aalu” has been postponed several times over the last few months owing to unknown reasons. After several postponements, the film was scheduled to finally hit screens worldwide on May 20.

However, it has been delayed once again, this time by a week and will now release on May 27.

Simbu’s last film “Vaalu” too had faced a similar fate and it finally released after a delay of nearly two years.

According to a source from the film’s camp, the release was deferred due to the Tamil Nadu assembly elections as the makers felt it was not a good idea to release the film in the polling week.

A majority of the distributors felt the same too. Hence, the release of Idhu Namma Aalu has been pushed to May 27, and makers have confirmed that it won’t be delayed any further.

Directed by Pandiraj, the film also stars Nayanthara, Andrea, Soori and Adah Sharma, and has music by Simbu’s younger brother Kuralarasan.

Simbu, meanwhile, awaits the release of Gautham Vasudev Menon’s “Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada”.
