Siddharth's next film 'Aruvam' is on food adulteration

Siddharth, who is basking in the great response for his latest release Sivappu Manjal Pachai is back with yet another film titled Aruvam. The film will be released in Telugu under the title Vadaladu. The Tamil version of this film is scheduled to hit the marquee on October 11 and the release date of the Telugu version is yet to be finalized.

Touted to be a horror-comedy that also deals with food contamination, has been written and directed by Sai Sekar. The film stars Siddharth, Catherine Tresa playing the lead pair. The makers have released the trailer of the film. Going by the trailer, Siddharth essays the role of a food safety officer who is fighting corruption and Catherine Tresa plays the role of a teacher who has no sense of smell.

The film also stars Sathish, Aadukalam Naren and Kaali Venkat in supporting roles. S Thaman has been roped in as music director for the film while cinematography and editing are handled by NK Ekambaram and Praveen KL respectively.

Siddharth's last outing Sivappu Manjal Pachai also starred music director turned actor GV Prakash Kumar in the lead roles and was directed by Sasi of Pichaikkaran fame, and did exponentially well at the box-office. The film also starred Dheepa Ramanujam, Prem Kumar and Yeshwanth in supporting roles.

The film was bankrolled by Ramesh P Pillai under the banner of Abhishek Films. Lijomol played GV Prakash Kumar’s sister and Siddharth’s love interest while Kashmira Pardeshi paired up with GV Prakash Kumar. The technical crew of this film included Siddhu Kumar for music, Prasanna Kumar for cinematography and San Lokesh for editing.
