Siddharth lands a pivotal role in Kamal Haasan’s 'Indian 2'?

Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan is all set to begin shooting for Shankar’s Indian 2 from Friday. Having released the first poster of the film earlier this week on the occasion of Pongal the makers all geared up to commence work on the project.

The first poster featured Haasan displaying his ‘varma-kalai’ skill as the octogenarian vigilante Senapathy from Indian. The poster, which was released sans any hullabaloo, was received very well and was trending on social media in no time.

It has already been confirmed that Kajal Aggarwal plays the leading lady but the makers are yet to reveal the complete cast and crew details. Not long ago, there were rumours that Simbu was roped in for a crucial role in the multi-lingual film.

The latest update is that Siddharth, who had worked with Shankar in Boys, has been brought in as a replacement for Simbu and he will be seen playing the role of a cop. It is believed that Siddharth plays Senapathy’s grandson who sets out to avenge the death of his father.

The shoot was supposed to begin in December 2018 however, due to his political commitments, it had to be postponed. The film will be predominantly shot in places like Taiwan and Ukraine, apart from Chennai and Hyderabad.

In preparation for his role, Kamal has been closely working with a team of international trainers to shed weight in the highly anticipated sequel to Indian, which featured Haasan in dual roles as father and son.

Reports have also surfaced that the South Korean actor Bae Suzy is reportedly in talks with the makers of Indian 2 to play a pivotal role in the film. Talks have been initiated and it needs to be known if the pretty actor would be joining onboard this magnum opus. She is a well-known celebrity in South Korea and across the globe popular for her music, films, and television series.
