The shooting of the upcoming Nani – Vikram Kumar film is all set to commence soon. The prep work to get this project on the floors has begun and is going on well. While there are various speculations on the female lead for this project, we hear that Shriya Sharma has been roped in to play Nani’s sister in it. Reports are that this untitled film will be an anthology of five short stories with each story etching out lives of women in different stages of life. Dedicating the film to his female fans, Nani had tweeted sometime ago, “#Nani24 Me, Vikram and the remaining five. In next year. Girls!! This one’s for you. @MythriOfficial @Vikram_K_Kumar and the legendary @pcsreeram sir.”

Veteran cinematographer PC Sreeram will be cranking the camera for this yet to be titled film and the rest of the cast and crew are expected to be announced soon. The project will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.

There are reports that director Vikram Kumar is considering the ‘winking sensation’ Priya Prakash Warrier to pair up with Nani in this flick but it has not been finalised yet.

Meanwhile, Nani is busy with his upcoming sports drama Jersey slated to hit the marquee in April this year. In fact, Nani had expressed his desire to star in a sports based film on the lines of the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal and looks like his wish is coming true with Jersey. The film is being bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments and helmed by director Gowtam Tinnanuri. It will have Anirudh composing the tunes, Navin Nooli in charge of the editing and Sanu Varghese cranking the camera.

Jersey has Nani and Shraddha Srinath playing the lead pair with Sathyaraj, Brahmaji and Ronit Kamra in supporting roles.
