Thala Ajith’s Viswasam is being guarded heavily, with the makers not willing to give away much information till the project officially goes on the floors.

It has been confirmed so far that the film will mark the fourth time collaboration of Ajith and director Siva. Satyajothi Films is officially on board to bankroll the project, which is expected to start rolling very soon. According to latest reports, Shraddha Srinath is said have landed an important role in the film, which will be shot against the north Chennai backdrop.

Last seen in Nivin Pauly’s Richie last year, Shraddha had a decent 2017 with projects such as Ivan Thanthiran, Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai and Vikram Vedha to her credit. Best known for playing an investigative journalist in the Kannada thriller U-Turn, Shraddha is believed to have been roped in recently by the makers. It is still unknown whether she will be playing the leading lady because the makers were in talks with Anushka Shetty.

An official announcement can be expected later this month with respect to the final cast of the film and when the shooting will commence. Although the makers officially announced that Yuvan Shankar Raja has been signed on, there are rumours that he might be replaced by Anirudh Ravichander, who has delivered two blockbusters Vedalam and Vivegam with Siva-Ajith combo. Not long ago, a section of media also reported that Vikram Vedha composer Sam CS might also be an option and the makers are seriously considering him. The young composer subsequently clarified via a tweet that he’s no longer part of the project. However, he’s confident he will work with Ajith in the future.
