A few days ago, reports surfaced that Ravi Teja’s Disco Raja is in trouble and has been shelved. This news was certainly a big disappointment for all Ravi Teja fans as the star is desperately in need of a smash hit and there were hopes that Disco Raja could be the breakthrough film.

With rumours spreading that Disco Raja is shelved, its producer Ram Talluri has confirmed that the project is on the right track. He has been quoted by the Cinema Express as stating, “The film is replete with special effects and director V Anand, and his team are investing a lot of efforts to make Disco Raja a visual extravaganza. Planning of the second schedule has taken little over a month's time. We are excited to make this film with Ravi Teja and Anand.”

According to reports, Disco Raja is a science fiction, a genre that is sure to bring in the audiences to the theatres. Three leading ladies Nabha Natesh, Payal Rajput and Priyanka Jawalkar have been roped in to share screen space with Ravi Teja.

We had reported earlier that the producer of Disco Raja wanted to bring down the cost of production from Rs 40 crore to Rs 30 crore following which some changes in the script were made. This did not go well with Ravi Teja due which the shooting has been put on hold. The reason behind the budget cut is apparently due to Ravi Teja’s films not doing too well at the box office in the recent times. With four of his films failing at the box office successively, the filmmakers are sceptical investing Rs 40 crore on this project.

But with the producer clarifying that all is well with Disco Raja, fans can wait patiently for its release.
