Jyothika, who made a smashing comeback with 36 Vayadhinile, is on a signing spree. The shoot of her upcoming yet-untitled comedy flick with director S Kalyan, who had previously directed Gulebaghavali, was completed over the weekend and the team had a wrap up party to celebrate the occasion.

Suriya, the producer of the film, attended the wrap up party and was seen having a whale of a time with the team. The film, which had its customary launch in February, also features veteran actor-filmmaker Revathi along with Yogi Babu and Anandraj in crucial roles. Tipped to be an action comedy, the film will see Jyothika and Revathi play roles that will see them together throughout the course of the movie.

Last seen playing a homemaker trying to make a mark on her own in Kaatrin Mozhi, Jyothika currently has three projects in her kitty. This is the second project she has completed in quick succession. The first being another untitled film in which she plays a school teacher. This film is directed by debutant S Raj and is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. Recently, the film’s makers released a statement in which they said that a school set worth Rs 50 lakh has been erected in Chennai where most of the film was shot. The project also stars Poornima Bhagyaraj, Sathyan, Hareesh Peradi and Kavitha Bharathi among others. Sean Roldan has been roped in to compose music while Gokul Benoy has cranked the camera.

Jyothika is expected to commence work on Jeethu Joseph’s next Tamil outing from June onwards. She will be seen sharing screen space with her brother-in-law Karthi for the first time in this project. In the film, they’ll be seen playing siblings and both of them are said to be thrilled to be working together.

Earlier the actor was seen in Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, which featured an ensemble cast consisting of Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay, Simbu, Aditi Rao Hydari and Aishwarya Rajesh. Jyothika was seen playing Arvind Swami’s wife and the film had struck gold at the box office as it emerged as the highest grossing film in Mani Ratnam’s illustrious career.
