Selvaraghavan to cast Santhanam as hero in next film

In a surprise of sorts, filmmaker Selvaraghavan has announced that his next film will be with comedien Santhanam. Although the genre of the film is yet to be known, trusted sources tells us that Selva is attempting a full-length comedy for the first time in his career. Sharing the news on Twitter, the “Irandaam Ulagam” filmmaker revealed that he’s really looking forward to commence work on this project.

Santhanam, who is basking in the success of horror-comedy “Dhilukku Dhuddu”, will start working on Selva’s project as soon as he wraps up “Server Sundaram” in which he plays a chef. Selva, meanwhile, is busy wrapping up horror-thriller “Nenjam Marappathillai” with an ensemble cast featuring SJ Suryah, Regina Cassandra and Nandita Swetha.

There are also reports that Santhanam will reunite with “Dhilukku Dhuddu” director Rambala for another project. Sources say Thenandal Films will bankroll the project.
