Written by : TNM Staff

Actor Sameera Reddy, who is pregnant with her second child, took Instagram by storm after she posted photographs of her underwater maternity shoot. Dressed in a bikini and displaying her visibly pregnant belly, the actor posted the pictures with the following note: “I wanted to celebrate the beauty of the bump in my 9th month. At a time when we feel the most vulnerable, tired, scared, excited and at our biggest and most beautiful! I look forward to sharing it with you guys and I know the positivity will resonate because we all are at different phases of our lives with unique sizes and we need to love and accept ourselves at every level #imperfectlyperfect.”

In the pictures, which the actor posted on Thursday, she further said that she has not used any filters or Photoshop.

Sameera, who hails from Andhra Pradesh and made her debut in Hindi cinema in 2002, went on to star in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films too. Her most memorable role is that of Meghna from Gautham Menon’s Vaaranam Aaiyiram in which she acted with Suriya.

Sameera got married to Akshai Vardai, who is from the motorcycle industry, in 2014. In fact, the two of them met each other when Sameera, who loves to ride motorcycles, was at an ad shoot involving bikes. Their first child Hans was born in 2015.

The actor, who is now celebrating body positivity, has spoken in the past about how the weight gain from her first pregnancy badly affected her confidence. Sameera went up to 102 kg and struggled to shed weight. The actor wrote on Instagram that it took her two years to get back to her original weight.

The maternity shoot where she’s clearly embracing her body and the weight gain from the second pregnancy has struck a chord with many users who have applauded her for the pictures.
