Samantha has wrapped up shooting for the Telugu remake of the Korean movie Miss Granny titled O Baby! Yentha Sakkagunnave. The film is a South Korean comedy-drama directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk.

O Baby! is being helmed by director BV Nandini Reddy. In her Facebook post, Nandini wrote, “Last day of shoot for one of the most enjoyable films that I have worked on. Best cast and crew ever. Excited that I will be able to share this gem of a story with you soon (sic).”

Samantha, too, said in a post on Instagram that this film is going to be very special to her.

"Today I am so grateful.. to the universe, to God, to the people who have been instrumental in helping me find my direction .. I have taken some time to grow both personally and professionally. There have been many ups and downs. But today I feel the satisfaction of that growth .. as I wrap yet another film #OhBaby I just know in my heart that this one is going to be special. My dear director @nandureddyy for always being my great big and giving me my most most most favourite character yet. (sic)"

In the Korean film, Na Moon-hee stars as a woman in her 70s who magically finds herself in the body of her 20-year-old self after having herself photographed at a mysterious photo studio. It was reported earlier that Samantha would be playing the younger version and veteran actor Lakshmi will be playing the older version. But now, if sources are anything to go by, Samantha will be doing both the roles and will be using special make up for playing the older role.

The star cast also includes actor Rao Ramesh and Naga Shaurya in important roles. The film is bankrolled by Sunita Tati under the banner People's Media Factory and Suresh Productions.

Samantha’s last film release U Turn was a heroine-centric film as well. It was a Tamil – Telugu bilingual directed by Pawan Wadeyar. The film is a mystery thriller that had Samantha, Adhi Pinisetty and Rahul Ravindran in the lead roles. U-Turn is the remake of the hit Kannada movie of the same name.
