For a long time, there have been rumours about Samantha and Naga Chaitanya getting engaged. 

With Naga Chaitanya’s step-brother Akhil Akkineni getting engaged recently, expectations on their engagement began to rise among film buffs. 

There were even rumours of the two being secretly engaged.

The latest buzz is that Samantha and Naga Chaitanya could be formally engaged on January 29, 2017. 

Reports suggest that preparations for a grand ceremony are on and an official announcement would be made by the groom’s father and popular actor Nagarjuna.

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya have shared the screen in films like 'Manam', 'Autonagar Suriya' and 'Ye Maaya Chesave'.

In an interview earlier, Naga Chaitanya revealed that he is a huge Samantha fan and added that she would continue to act even after their wedding. 

He had pointed out that she rose to stardom due to her sheer talent and he would never hinder her progress. 

The date of the wedding is expected to be announced on their engagement.
