The shooting of the high budget film, Saaho, was wrapped up a few weeks ago and it has gone into the post-production mode. Movie buffs are expecting the release of this film eagerly as it happens to be Prabhas’ first film after the sensational hit franchise, Baahubali. Besides acting, we hear he is also taking care of the post-production.

It was well publicised that the post-production of Saaho would involve extensive VFX, especially where the action sequences are concerned, and we hear that it is being done under the direct supervision of the hero himself. In the meantime, director Sujeeth is busy completing the mixing work. According to reports, the post-production of the film is happening in different destinations, such as Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad to ensure that the film hits the marquee on August 15 as planned.

Saaho is bankrolled by V Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations on a budget of Rs 300 crore. While Prabhas plays the male lead in this action entertainer, sharing screen space with him is Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor. The film’s star cast also includes Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Vennela Kishore, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunkey Pandey in supporting roles. The technical crew of this film includes R Madhi for cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing.

Prabhas put in a lot of hard work, losing 8 kg for the role. He was put on a strict diet of minimal carbohydrates and a lot of fruits to ensure the weight loss happened within a short span of time.

The teaser for Saaho, released last month, indicated that the movie will have a power-packed performance from Prabhas. The teaser has the star chasing and gunning down villains, leaping from buildings and making his way through fleets of vehicles.

Saaho is being made in Telugu and will be dubbed in Hindi and Tamil as well considering Prabhas’ huge popularity across the country.
