RJ Balaji to play Mahesh Babu’s friend in Murugadoss film

RJ Balaji is on a roll. After bagging an important role in Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai, the actor has now landed an opportunity to work alongside superstar Mahesh Babu. In the bilingual project, which is currently being shot in Hyderabad, Balaji will be seen playing Mahesh’s friend and he has a substantial role.

Talking to Times of India, Balaji said that he had always wished to work with director Murugadoss, and with this project his dream has come true. Explaining about his character, he said he doesn’t play just another comedian and will be handling several interesting situations with the hero. He’s yet to join the sets of the film, which also stars Rakul Preet Singh and SJ Suryah in the lead.

Tipped to be an action film being made on a budget of Rs 90 crore, the film has music by Harris Jayaraj and is gearing up for release next year.
